Moving on from Moneyhub

Moneyhub closed its consumer app on 31-07-2026. If you saved a CSV of your transactions before then, you can import it into Profolio and carry on tracking what you own, owe and spend.

Profolio is made by Bednal Limited and is not affiliated with Moneyhub or WPS Advisory. Moneyhub is named here only to explain what happened and how to move your records.

What happened to the Moneyhub app

  1. Moneyhub announced that it would withdraw from its consumer app to focus on its business clients, and offered users a move to WPS LifeStage Money, an app run by WPS Advisory on Moneyhub's platform.[1][2]

  2. Moneyhub told the press it would support users until the app was decommissioned in August 2026, and that personal data would be deleted once the app closed.[3]

  3. Moneyhub's help centre set the final date: the app would close on 31-07-2026, and accounts that had not been moved or deleted by then would be deleted with their data.[4][5]

  4. The Moneyhub app closed. From then on, users can no longer log in or reach their data through it. Moneyhub the company carries on, supplying its technology to financial institutions.[4][6][2]

Getting your data out of Moneyhub

Until it closed, the Moneyhub app let you download your transactions as a CSV file: Transactions, then the cloud icon, then Begin Download or Email as Attachment. Moneyhub's guidance said transactions were what the CSV held; other data was available on request.[7][8]

That route closed with the app on 31-07-2026, and you can no longer log in to make an export. If you saved a CSV before then, keep it: it is the file to import.[4][6]

If you moved your account to WPS LifeStage, your data is now with WPS Advisory, and it is for them to say how to export it. Profolio cannot tell you what WPS LifeStage offers.[1]

Importing your CSV into Profolio

  1. Start your free trial

Create an account. Every feature is included in the 14-day free trial.

  2. Import the file

Open Expenses, choose Import expenses and drop in your CSV. It is read in your browser and never uploaded.

  3. Check and save

Profolio categorises each transaction. Change any category, untick any line you do not want, and save only what you confirm.

  • The CSV import finds the date, description and amount columns from the file's headers. It reads one signed amount column, where a minus sign is money out, or separate money-in and money-out columns. Check each line's direction in the review before saving.
  • An export that covers several accounts imports as one statement. The import does not split a file by account, and an Account column is not used to describe or sort the lines.
  • Moneyhub never published the layout of its export, and Profolio's import has not been tested against a real Moneyhub export. If a column cannot be found, the import tells you which one and saves nothing.
  • Moneyhub's own categories are not carried across. Profolio categorises each line from its description, and a line it cannot place is filed as Other for you to set.
  • The CSV held transactions only. Add your investments, property, pensions and debts in Profolio by hand: holdings by ticker, property with its mortgage, and loans and cards as liabilities.
How statement import works

What Profolio does

  • Net worth from everything

Assets, investments, properties and debts in one view, with mortgages subtracted, so your net worth counts your equity.

  • Investments by ticker

Stocks, ETFs and crypto, with prices fetched several times a day. Import Trading 212 holdings with your own API key.

  • Property and mortgages

Value, mortgage, rental income and running costs, with optional UK House Price Index estimates, always labelled.

  • Spending from statements

Import CSV or PDF statements, review the categories and keep business accounts out of your personal totals.

One difference to know

Profolio does not use Open Banking. It never connects to your bank or asks for your bank login, so balances do not update on their own: you import statements as files, when you choose to.
